How to Replace Your Coil or Pod

For screw-in replacement coils (Caliburn G/G2, Crown 4/5/X/M, Valyrian, Nunchaku, Whirl), the process is the same: unscrew the old coil from the bottom of the pod or tank, screw the new coil in firmly but without overtightening, drip a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton through the side wicking ports (this is called priming), refill the pod or tank, and let the assembled unit sit upright for 5-10 minutes before firing. How Long Does a Coil Last?

Several factors influence coil life: sweet dessert e-liquids (with high sucralose content) gunk up coils faster than fruit, menthol, or tobacco profiles. High-VG juices can be slightly more taxing than balanced 50/50 blends. Chain vaping at high power can burn through coils in days rather than weeks. You’ll know it’s time to change the coil when the flavour starts to taste muted or muffled, when you notice a slight burnt undertone, or when the vapour production drops noticeably.
